Enid is from San Francisco; she grew up with older brothers. She closely follows ice hockey and supports the San Jose Sharks of the NHL.
Chapter I: Wednesday's Child Is Full of Woe
When Wednesday is shown her dorm, she is introduced to Enid. Enid is initially concerned about Wednesday's paleness until Gomez assures her that's how Wednesday always looks. When Enid attempts to hug her, Wednesday steps back, citing that she is allergic to color.
As Enid gives Wednesday a tour, she gives a brief explanation of the foundation of Nevermore. While walking around, Enid and Wednesday stop in front of a trophy case. Inside is a picture of Wednesday's mother, Morticia, when she was captain of the fencing squad. They continue walking when Enid asks if Wednesday killed a kid. After hearing Wednesday's answer that it was two kids, she pauses with a worried look on her face.
In the quad, Enid explains that there are four main cliques in Nevermore: Fangs, Furs, Stoners, and Scales. She then goes on to point out the different groups. She then tells her that Bianca and Xavier were dating until they broke up at the beginning of the semester for an unknown reason. Enid proclaims to Wednesday that her blog is "the number one source for Nevermore gossip." Ajax then approaches Enid, saying that he has "dirt" on her new roommate. After he is done talking, Enid steps to the side to reveal Wednesday standing behind her. After he commented on Wednesday being in black and white, Enid shooed him away, telling her to ignore him.
Enid later enters her dorm to find Wednesday peeling off the colorful window decor that she had put up. This makes Enid a little upset. Then Wednesday criticized her blog, making Enid defensive and angry. When Wednesday goes to write, she begins to play pop music, something that Wednesday does not like. As Wednesday approaches her, telling her to turn it off, she flashes her claws at her. Suddenly, Ms. Thornhill enters the room, asking if it was a bad time. After Wednesday is asked about being welcomed by Enid, she confirms that she has been smothered with hospitality and that she wishes to return the favor to Enid while she sleeps. This caused Enid to turn her head toward Wednesday with a concerned look on her face. Just as Ms. Thornhill leaves, she tells Enid to keep her claws to herself and that Wednesday wasn't allowed to smother her in her sleep.
In fencing class, Enid stands next to Yoko as they both watch Bianca and Wednesday spar. After the match, she looked almost disappointed that Wednesday had lost the match.
After Wednesday is done playing her cello, Enid goes out onto the balcony and asks her how she got the instrument to fit through the window. When Enid spots Thing, she is taken aback and asks where the rest of him is. Wednesday asks Enid why she isn't wolfing out, and it is then revealed by Enid that she is unable to. Enid then tells Wednesday that if she doesn't wolf out, then she'll be kicked out of her pack. After being told that everyone dies alone, Enid tells Wednesday that she sucks at comforting people. Wednesday tells her the story of when she cried for the last time. Enid tells her that her secret is safe with her but that she still thinks Wednesday is weird. When Wednesday asks her to show her how to use Enid's computer so that she can get her room back, Enid shows her.
At the Harvest Festival, Enid asks if Wednesday can trust Tyler, to which Wednesday replies, "I trust that I can handle myself." Enid tries to hug Wednesday, to which Wednesday takes a step back. Enid then walks away.
Enid discovers an eyeball on her pillow and believes Wednesday is participating in Prank Day, so she stages her fake murder to get back at her. Enid laughs it off and then asks her roommate about the fainting spell at the Founder's Pyre, though Wednesday brushes it off. She's trying to solve Sheriff Galpin's murder, though Enid requests she be left out of it this year. She's trying to live a normal high school experience by taking driver's ed and a flirtation with Bruno.
That afternoon, Enid finds a present in her dorm for Thing, learning it's his birthday and the entire Addams family, minus Fester, forgot. She wants to celebrate with the pack but is kidnapped before she can go through with the plan. She wakes up in Iago Tower chained to a chair with Bruno, with a Sword of Damocles hanging above them. She apologizes for getting him caught up in her and Wednesday's drama. She's friends with Wednesday because she can't imagine her life without her in it. Bruno realizes that Enid is Wednesday's ride or die. They bond over both being late bloomers, ultimately sharing a kiss before the swords begin falling.
Wednesday arrives and solves a riddle to stop their imminent death. Once successful, her stalker finally reveals herself as Agnes DeMille. Enid is angry they were almost perforated by Wednesday's mini-me. As they leave the tower, Enid realizes Wednesday has two stalkers - and one killed Sheriff Galpin.
Enid is excited for the Camp Jericho trip with her schoolmates. She struggles with her conflicting feelings towards Ajax and Bruno, the former of whom she hasn't formally broken up with yet. The camp is crashed by normie cadets who Wednesday challenges to a color war to determine who stays at the camp. Enid lends a hand with Bruno and the Nightshades, supporting Wednesday the best she can. That night, Ajax finally confronts Enid about them being broken up. She no longer feels like the lonely wolf with a fear of never fitting in. He liked that girl and wishes they could have talked things out. She apologizes for not telling him about Bruno.
Chapter IV: If These Woes Could Talk
Enid explores her new relationship with Bruno, but feels left out when she notices Wednesday's growing partnership with Agnes. She finally confronts Wednesday about liking the "pint-sized psycho" more than her. Enid might not want to be involved in case-related matters, but insists she can still help with personal ones. Wednesday saves her from a torrent of birds and is then forced to involve Enid in a rescue mission for Fester. Enid, upon seeing her near-exclusion from the plan, asks Wednesday if she events wants to be friends anymore. Wednesday insists that was never a question and puts on her on lookout duty. That night, Agnes and Enid witness Willow Hill's blackout and call the sheriff.
To be added
Principal Dort implements a school-wide curfew and if anyone breaks it their entire hall will be banned from the dance. Wednesday sneaks out to visit the headstone of Rosaline Rotwood. Enid follows her and unknowingly breaks her connection with the power inside, resulting in both girls paying the price - by switching bodies. Now forced to literally walk in each other's shoes, Enid gets a glimpse into her roommates complex life, from the eager Agnes DeMille to the nauseatingly helpful Morticia, the latter of whom invites Enid to family dinner thinking she's Wednesday. To properly prepare for her dinner with the Addams family, Enid reads an excerpt from Wednesday's book. She's angry that the character modeled after her is described as pitiful and in need of protection by Viper. Looking for revenge, Enid dresses her Wednesday body in classic Enid fashion and dances around the school. She has an allergic reaction from all the colors, but deems it worthwhile when the embarrassing videos are posted online. Wednesday witnesses the atrocity, only to catch Bruno secretly talking to his girlfriend in the Philippines. She breaks up with him and the ordeal is witnessed by Agnes. The stalker appears and celebrates the break up with who she believes is Wednesday. She discusses Wednesday's vision, blaming the stress of stopping Enid's death on her recent psychotic break. She advises cutting Enid out of her life and replacing her with Agnes, unaware the girls have swapped bodies. Enid lashes out at Agnes, calling her a loser that she uses when it's convenient. She wishes the girl would stay invisible forever. Agnes leaves heartbroken at her idols rejection.
Enid attends the Addams family dinner and her secret is revealed by Larissa Weems, who warns Morticia that the girls will both die if they don't switch back by dawn. Wednesday is sealed in the lupin cages by Capri to thwart the upcoming lunar cycle, forcing Enid to break her out. Agnes calls them because she located Tyler and is in the trunk of his car with a dead body heading to Willow Hill. The girls rush to save Agnes and take down the Galpin's. Wednesday and Enid arrive just in time to see Tyler restraining Agnes in a cell. They watch Isaac work and the machine intended to cure Francoise whirs to life. Wednesday, Enid, and Tyler fight as the girls free Agnes. He locks Wednesday inside and she wolfs out, attacking Tyler to save the others. Agnes sabotages the machine and it's ready to explode, so Enid calls for Wednesday and tells her they have to leave. Once in the woods, Enid and Wednesday head back to the headstone where they confess the things they've learned about each other. Wednesday admits that Enid's quiet strength and kindness is important, apologizing for underestimating her. As for Enid, she can feel Wednesday's fear of being rejected over her darkness, and advises her to being more open to Morticia's teachings. Their time is up and they successfully switch back. Wednesday learns that evening that her vision of Enid's death has been thwarted, but another takes her place - an Addams.
Enid's thrilled that the premonition of her death is thwarted, but she worries now that an Addams is at risk. Capri critiques Enid for escaping the lupin cages. She warns that, if Enid transforms under a full moon, she could be trapped in her werewolf form permanently and hunted by other wolves. Enid locks herself in the lupin cages again to prevent her transformation. Wednesday visits and promises to hunt Enid if she does end up trapped. The only exception to Enid's confinement is the gala, which she's attending with Bruno as a friend. Their friendship is short-lived when his ex-girlfriend Sofia arrives. Enid ends things with Bruno for good, deciding not to be the villain in their story.
Feeling dejected, Enid goes to Orloff's classroom, where she finds Agnes sobbing over Wednesday's rejection. Enid tells the teen to stop living in other people's personalities and be her own psycho. They team up for Enid's dance since she was supposed to perform it with Bruno. Wednesday ropes them into her plan to stop Dort from blackmailing Bianca any further, and it goes off perfectly.
Enid locks herself in the lupin cages as the full moon is overhead. Agnes her meditation for help in saving Wednesday, who has been buried alive by Isaac Night. They try and save Wednesday, but Enid knows she's not fast or strong enough in her human form. She transforms into a wolf and rips Wednesday free. Her roommate sits and is shocked to see Enid in her wolf form, understanding the implications of her transformation. Agnes remarks it was the only way to save her. Enid takes off into the woods while Wednesday orders Agnes to track her. Once Isaac is dealt with and Pugsley is safe, Wednesday leaves Nevermore with Uncle Fester to find Enid.
Enid has blonde hair and blue eyes. Her hair has blue and pink highlights at the ends. Oftentimes, she wears it out, but occasionally she is seen with a braid on her right side. She has light freckles and different-colored nails that turn into claws at different points.
She wears her traditional Nevermore uniform with no alterations. Enid prefers to dress in multicolored or fluffy clothes outside of school. She is often seen in colorful sweaters and coordinated outfits. She wears colored eyeshadow and eyeliner to match the outfit she is wearing. She wears the traditional school shoes, however, and replaces the normal black laces with bright pink shoelaces.
At the Rave'N, Enid is wearing a pink wig and sequin outfit to match the theme. Her dress is white with pink undertones and has a fur collar. She has rhinestones under her eyes, red lipstick, and pink eyeshadow. She is wearing white knee-high platform boots.
During the Poe Cup, Enid and her team, the "Black Cats," have a feline-themed costume. She's dressed in a black wetsuit with pink stitching and pink highlights, with the team logo in white stamped on her shoulder. Enid wears black cat ears, and her fingerless gloves are made up of pink fishnets over black fabric. Her makeup consists of dark pink face paint on her nose to give it a cat-like look and whiskers drawn on with eyeliner. She has dark pink and black lipstick on her lips and wears pink eyeshadow with winged eyeliner for her eyes. During the Poe Cup, her nails are iridescent and pink.
When her werewolf form finally emerged, it resembled a bipedal wolf with a hunched-over appearance, no tail, and longer fangs while still sporting Enid's colored highlights. In season two, her werewolf form drastically changed as she possessed sharper ears and a more brute build.
In the second season, Enid changes many things. Her hair was styled in a more "wolf cut" style and she now has bangs. For Nevermore, the traditional school suit jacket has been shortened, becoming a super modern cropped jacket. The long pleated skirt transforms into a pinafore-style dress with suspenders. Around her neck, she wears a white shirt with a charming, voluminous black bow tie. She wears black tights with small rips and frays, adding a "wild" texture that alludes to her werewolf nature. On her feet, she wears heavy Dr. Martens-style boots with laces and colorful details (purple), reinforcing the colorful punk aesthetic.
When Enid was first introduced, she had a carefree, happy, and bubbly personality. She was friendly toward everyone and was well liked by her classmates. Enid also liked to keep up with school drama, with her personal blog being the number one source for Nevermore gossip. She could be described as the polar opposite of Wednesday Addams.
Despite her bubbly personality, there were moments when Enid proved to be down-to-earth and pragmatic, such as when she asked Wednesday to apologize to Thing, reminding her that he was family and did not deserve mistreatment. She was extremely patient with Wednesday and her dark attitude, and although she tried to be tolerant, there were times when she stood her ground, like when Wednesday attempted to turn off her music, and Enid immediately took out her claws, warning her not to interfere.
Enid often showed strong emotions and could react impulsively. When Yoko had an allergic reaction to garlic and was sent to the nurse's office, Enid was extremely frustrated and was seen crying in her bedroom after Yoko had to sit out of the Poe Cup. Later, when Ajax failed to show up for their date because he had accidentally turned himself to stone, Enid, thinking he had stood her up, angrily slashed the wheels of the school bus with her claws. She felt humiliated and believed Ajax did not truly like her, unaware of what had actually happened.
She had a low tolerance for scary or creepy things. When she first met Thing, she looked awkward and tried to stay away from him. When she saw the clue board that Wednesday had set up, she could not hide her disgust at the pictures and ended up fainting. Enid was also frightened and uneasy when visiting Uriah's Heap, especially upon seeing the taxidermied animals dressed in vintage clothing. However, she eventually grew to tolerate some of them more, even finding enjoyment in Thing's company.
Enid was quite nervous about being a late bloomer in her pack, as she feared being exiled or never finding a mate. However, thanks to Wednesday's influence, she matured and gained confidence, telling her mother that she would wolf out at her own pace and did not care what anyone thought. She also admitted to Wednesday that she was aware of her own flaws, but would no longer apologize for them because they made her who she was.
Like many outcasts, Enid tended to be wary and distant with normies, as seen when she asked Wednesday if a normie could truly be trusted. Even so, Enid had no issue speaking with them if they seemed kind or genuine.
Enid was also very kind and caring toward her friends. She helped Wednesday adjust to Nevermore and assisted her in investigating the murders. When the time came to fight Tyler, Enid did not hesitate to risk her life to protect Wednesday and give her a chance to defeat Marilyn. After the battle, she immediately returned to school, worried about her friend and asking where Wednesday was.
After she finally wolfed out, Enid experienced a complicated shift in her life. While the moment was a breakthrough for her, it also led to a relapse into old, unhealthy patterns. Before returning to Nevermore, she attended wolf camp, despite her firm stance in the first season that she never would. She joined a pack and began a relationship with Bruno, but was reluctant to end the one with Ajax. Enid started to put immense pressure on herself, trying too hard to meet the expectations of others rather than listening to her own instincts. The independence and confidence she once had was clouded by a desire to live up to an image of what a "proper" wolf was supposed to be, even when it did not feel right to her.
However, as a result of the time she swaps her body with Wednesday and comes to see the world through her eyes, with Wednesday risking her integrity to save her and Agnes from Tyler, Enid finally lets go of her need to fit in as a werewolf. When she learned that Bruno had been reconnecting his ex, she chooses to step aside and let them be together, taking the decision of staying out of romantic relationships for a while to focus on herself. Enid has also come to the realization that she does not need a pack with others of her own kind; instead, her real "wolf pack" is Wednesday, which she proves when, despite the blood moon, Enid makes the sacrifice of wolfing out to save Wednesday, knowing the cost of this decision due to being an alpha.
Lycanthropy: As a werewolf, Enid does not tend to show any werewolf powers due to being "a late bloomer", only showing her multi-colored claws instead of "wolfing out" whenever she shows any emotions. Enid does eventually "wolf out" into her werewolf form in the middle of the woods (during a full blood moon) and comes to Wednesday's aid to battle a hyde.[4] She was nearly as strong as Tyler when he was in his hyde form; however, he was able to pin her up against a tree and would have killed her had Sheriff Galpin not interfered by shooting the hyde from behind, which wounded him. The distraction allowed Enid to gain the upper hand and defeat him. Her claws in human form can slice through a bus and a wooden raft. She is fast and agile, able to switch between bipedal and quadrupedal movement, move several feet in seconds, and even perform acrobatic feats like an aerial kick, which she used to defeat the hyde.
Superhuman Strength: While in human form, Enid has increased strength, which allows her to open a locked door almost effortlessly.
Superhuman Durability: She was able to take many strikes from the hyde and even be thrown into a tree in her wolf form without suffering major injuries.
Superhuman Speed: In her human form, Sinclair moves quickly like a wolf as she lunges forward.
Enhanced Hearing: In human form, she possesses increased auditory awareness, as shown when she heard Wednesday's heartbeat while she was buried underground.[5]
Accelerated Healing Factor: At a certain point, Enid possesses accelerated healing from injuries, as her scars on the left side of her face she received when fighting against a hyde completely regenerated afterwards.
Shapeshifting: When the full blood moon arose, Enid's latent ability to transform into a humanoid werewolf manifested. As evidenced by the fact that when she turns, her hair's highlights remain.
Leadership: Enid has some skills as a leader; proof of this is that she is the captain of her own team when she participates in the Poe Cup, the Black Cats.
Skilled Tactician: Unlike what most people think of her, Enid is actually clever and quick to think. During the Poe Cup, while Wednesday is going for their flag, she immediately comes up with a plan and cuts the boat of one of the rival teams using her claws while Thing distracts them. Enid also quickly realized that it was Lucas Walker who pulled that prank at the school dance. She also seems to be a quick learner, becoming fully capable of understanding Thing when communicating.
Skilled Combatant: Enid is a skilled fighter who is able to use her enhanced werewolf abilities and her knowledge of martial arts from both practice and observing others to her advantage. During her fight with the hyde, although she was very close to being defeated by him, due to the intervention of the sheriff, she managed to win the fight by performing a wrestling drop kick that incapacitated him.
Mortality: Despite being a werewolf with increased durability, her body can still succumb to blunt force injuries by other supernatural creatures. Such as when she first transformed back into human form, her bones and muscles ached, as well as receiving cuts across her face till they regenerated some point afterward.
Alpha Transformation: Due to being an alpha, if Enid takes on her wolf form too early in her alphahood, then she risks being trapped in that same form permanently. This is the fate that befell her in "Chapter VIII: This Means Woe", meaning she was left trapped as a wolf potentially forever.
Anger Point: Enid must calm down during the full moon, otherwise she may trigger the alpha transformation.
"Why the sudden change of heart?
Because we work. We shouldn't, but we do. It's like some sort of weird, friendship anomaly."
-Wednesday and Enid
Enid and Wednesday standing in their dorm
Wednesday is Enid's best friend and roommate. When Wednesday arrives at Nevermore, Enid is given the task of showing her around the school and introducing her to her classmates. Right from the beginning, Enid has been constantly supportive of Wednesday and the way she acts. Following their meeting Wednesday, she gave her a tour of the school's campus and introduced her to the other students who attend Nevermore. Rumors about Wednesday are already starting to spread among the student body at this point, but Enid remains by Wednesday's side and doesn't pay attention to them. Later that day, the two get into a fight over their room and boundaries, but are stopped from going further by Marilyn Thornhill. Near the end of "Chapter I: Wednesday's Child Is Full of Woe", Wednesday and Enid share a moment on their balcony. Wednesday is playing the cello, and Enid comes out to check on her. This is where she first encounters Thing. After hearing the other werewolves (furs) howl in the distance, Wednesday asks why Enid isn't 'wolfing out' with them, and Enid reveals that she can't. Wednesday reasons with Enid in an attempt to cheer her up, but only makes it worse when Enid starts crying. Wednesday opens up to her about the time she cried, and Enid promises to keep the secret safe. They call each other "weird as shit" and have a silent moment together.
During "Chapter II: Woe Is the Loneliest Number", Enid is overjoyed that Wednesday decided to remain at Nevermore. When Yoko Tanaka is unable to participate in the Poe Cup, Wednesday volunteers to take her place and work with Enid. They bring out each other's competitive sides in this episode and manage to win the Poe Cup together. In "Chapter IV: Woe What a Night", Wednesday shows off her board of clues on the murder to Enid, and when Enid faints after looking at them, Wednesday asks Thing to fetch the smelling salts again, implying that Enid has fainted before. In "Chapter VI: Quid Pro Woe", Enid is one of the people responsible for Wednesday's cake and birthday surprise, putting a lot of effort into making Wednesday happy. She gives Wednesday a black snood to match hers as a birthday gift and follows her in her investigation that night. After almost being killed, Enid decides to move out of the room she and Wednesday share and go live with Yoko instead. However, even though she doesn't live with Wednesday, she checked in at least three times in one day to make sure that she was doing okay. In "Chapter VII: If You Don't Woe Me By Now", when she moves back in with her, Wednesday says she missed Enid, although she uses Thing as a cover.
When Wednesday gets expelled in "Chapter VIII: A Murder of Woes", Enid helps pack up her belongings. Wednesday tells her that the mark Enid has left on her is indelible, and, in turn, Enid confesses that she is going to miss Wednesday and that she has learned so much from her. Enid asks her for a final hug, which she declines, agreeing and saying that not hugging is their thing. After hearing that Wednesday is in trouble, she leaves Ajax Petropolus with the others and goes into the woods to try and help her. This is when Enid is finally able to 'wolf out' and is able to fight off Tyler Galpin to save Wednesday. She wins the fight with Tyler and successfully helps Wednesday kill Joseph Crackstone.
Enid asks where Wednesday is as she stumbles out of the woods and is embraced by Ajax. Her eyes widen in fear and panic when she sees how everyone responds to the question. Almost instantaneously, but Wednesday walks through the gates, and Enid sees her. She runs over, and the two share a meaningful moment—their first hug. The next day, she tells Wednesday that she should visit her in San Francisco.
Enid and Esther sitting by the fire in the forest
During Parents Weekend, Esther is very critical of her daughter, Enid, appears disappointed when Enid suggests that she hasn't "wolfed out" yet, and even suggests that Enid attend a Lycanthropy summer camp in order to fully "wolf out". But by the end of the weekend, Enid decides not to attend the camp, much to her mother's disappointment.
Enid and Murray hugging in the quad
He is seen during Parents Weekend with their pack. It is not yet clear about their relationship. Mr. Sinclair hardly ever speaks. He doesn't seem opposed to Mrs. Sinclair's way of treating Enid; however, he says he is proud of Enid before he and his wife leave and supports her decision.
Enid standing while holding Thing in her hands
During the course of the show, Enid and Thing become close friends and are seen and mentioned doing nails, makeup tutorials, and communicating with each other very often, as she can even understand his sign language. At the end of the season, she makes him promise to keep in touch. When he goes to inform her of Wednesday being kidnapped by Laurel Gates and Tyler, Enid takes Thing with her into the woods until the blood moon begins to transform her into her full wolf form, which frightens him a bit before he goes off to free Xavier. Then later, after defeating Tyler, Thing crawls in the woods and goes over to hold Enid's hand in comfort, as her first time turning back to human caused her muscles to ache painfully before off-screen she could find and cover up with her coat to slowly walk back to the school alone.
Enid standing behind Yoko as she (Yoko) paints their Poe Cup canoe
While not often shown interacting on-screen, Yoko and Enid have an established close friendship. They are both captains of their teams for the Poe Cup and have lunch at the Weathervane. They are temporary roommates after Enid and Wednesday had a fight.
They are not often shown interacting on screen; however, Enid and Divina seem to be good friends. They, along with Yoko, were seen having lunch at Weathervane before Lucas Walker showed up.
Enid and Ajax kissing
Ajax starts off as a friend of Enid and ends up romantically involved with her. Their first encounter in the series occurs during Wednesday's tour of Nevermore, when he informs Enid of the rumors about her new roommate. Ajax is a member of the Nightshade Society.
At the start of the Poe Cup in "Chapter II: Woe Is the Loneliest Number", Enid smiles and glances her eyes to stare at Ajax before he turns to see her across their boats, which made him smile and chuckle in blush for her after she waves at him.
On Outreach Day in "Chapter III: Friend or Woe", she swaps assignments with Wednesday so that she can work at Uriah's Heap with Ajax. She spends the day flirting with him and trying to get close to him. When she realizes that it isn't working, she confronts him and tells him directly that she's been trying to flirt all day. Ajax picks up on the hints then, and when Enid asks him to hang out with her behind the greenhouse later that night, unfortunately, Ajax stones himself in the mirror after showering and stands Enid up.
At the Rave'N, Enid attends with Lucas Walker in an attempt to make Ajax jealous. When the two see each other and speak, Enid is nervous and jumpy, whereas after seeing her, Ajax is visibly disheartened. Ajax is with another girl but is still friendly toward Enid and dances nearby. When Enid is outside confronting Lucas and getting picked on by his friends, Ajax is the one to come out and defend her. Just after this, they share their first kiss.
At the funeral of Mayor Walker, Ajax holds Enid, despairing over the event, and they walk off with each other under the rain with an umbrella.
They are seen together throughout the rest of the season. In the finale, Eugene Ottinger calls Enid because he is worried about Wednesday Addams and interrupts a moment between her and Ajax. Later that night, Thing informs them that Wednesday was kidnapped by Thornhill and Tyler and tells them to gather the nightshades. Enid did not know about him being part of the nightshade, as it was one of the rules of keeping it a secret. Ajax is the first to comfort her as she walks out of the woods. They both briefly lost their tempers at one another before Ajax comes close, for she was still stiff from the fight against Tyler and is no longer upset about earlier as he helps walk her back towards the larger group before she pushes him away to go hug Wednesday. Then, when the students leave school for the semester, she meets up with Ajax, who had his arm hanging over her shoulder as she approached, and at one point off-screen, they move outside of the school to share a kiss under the columns before saying goodbye to each other.
However, in season two, Enid and Ajax start to distance themselves from each other. Having matured from last year, Enid no longer feels the same about Ajax like she did in the past, and during the entire summer she didn't see or call him. Since the beginning of the new semester, Enid tries to avoid Ajax because she doesn't really know how she feels about their relationship. On the other hand, Ajax attempts to communicate with Enid because they didn't talk for a while, constantly leaving gifts for her in her room. Furthermore, Enid begins to feel attracted to Bruno Yuson, a new student and someone of her same pack, which strains her relationship with Ajax even more.
After her near-death experience in a trap set up by Agnes DeMille, Enid realizes she doesn't have feelings for Ajax anymore and wants to break up with him but is terrified and doesn't want to do it because she knows Ajax hasn't done anything wrong but is also aware she cannot avoid it forever. After this, in the Camp Outcast, during the evening, Enid has an honest conversation with Ajax, confessing she's no longer the same girl he likes; he left first, but before he went, he reminded her of the day they both volunteered at Uriah's Heap. He said that squirrels and rats symbolized their past relationship. Now, Petropolus says it can't work and officially breaks up, she feels both humble and angry when she understands that her decisions have pushed him away, and then she runs into Bruno.
After realizing that Tyler was targeting her and Wednesday, she writes letters to the Nightshade members, including Ajax. Ajax takes a serious approach and stands up against the hyde, while they all watch out for each other. Later, when Ajax visits her cage, he tells Enid and Wednesday about Barry Dort's plan. They decide to expose him during the Gala, and Ajax ends up turning him into a statue. Meanwhile, Enid sees her ex-boyfriend packing to go back home with his old girlfriend. Ajax approaches her and tells her that she deserves more than what happened because of someone else's actions. He asks if they can be friends again, deciding to forgive her since their relationship has nothing to do with his behavior or her being a werewolf. She agrees, and they laugh together before shaking hands and smiling at each other. As he walks away, she breathes out in relief and thankfulness.
